Re: Anyone seen an OEM fog light kit for the 1995 850? 850 1994

Hi,

My 1994 model originally did not have the fogs lights installed when delivered, the dealer installed them pre-delivery. They had to cut the holes out as mentioned in other posts and place the black trim around the lights when done. Unfortunately in two cases they did not make a good job of cutting the holes so the one black trim wouldn't fit. Next the earlier design of the Round type had a plastic reflector which on mine melted.

So knowing this i brought the new improved version with a ceramic case reflector and installed them myself. The kits comes with the dash switch, relay for under the steering column and all neccessary wiring and instructions.

A couple of years ago i decided to have the t5r bumper and of course the black trim is not needed with this as there are coulings around the lights, and it looks great.

I do agree that the light emitted is not very good. There are two options upgrade the bulb to the higher brillance bulbs. Secondly take the apart fogs and you will find there is a metal plate inside on the top side to stop i presume dassling oncoming drivers. This can be priced up or cut either side just leaving the bulb covered so giving a larger foot print, which i actually did on my old set.
