2.4 litre displacement vs. 2.3... 850 1997 GLT TURBO

I have a 2.4 light pressure turbo in my 97 GLT... My question is if I put a higher pressure turbo in my 2.4 litre will the end result be greater hp than the 2.3 litre 850 T5s? Is there more to it? Are the pistons in the 850 forged? Will it be dangerous for my engine since the cylinder walls are thinner than those of the T5?
