Please HELPShould I buy a 1995 850 wag. for $7500.

Hey, folks, I really need some advice. I am talking to a man with a 1995 850 wagon (second owner)leather interior, sroof, etc. He is asking $7900. I would of course have a prepurchase check at a Volvo dealership, but I will have to drive from Birmingham to Atlanta to see the car and havve it checked. What do you folks think??

I have also been offerred a 1997 960 wagon with 80000K miles for $9500. A volvo mechanic told me it needed timing belt, the Power Rack and Pinion steering had a leak, there was a transmission leak and the front brake rotors are warped, but you can't feel it. I've read bad things about the 960's and I already know it needs at least $2000., but the price is terrific and it is in town.

Please try to answer quickly as I need to decide on the 960 pretty quickly.
