My Volvo's OBD-2 connector has the following pins 3, 4, 5, 7, 13, 16 populated. I know that ISO 9141 calls for pins 4, 5, 7, 15, 16. I assume that pin 3 is for Volvo purposes but what about the switch 15 with 13?
Did they move pin 15 (ISO 9141-2 L line) to pin 13 to make life harder for
generic scan tool manufacturers? If a Volvo scanner is used there is no problem reading the codes and doing diagnostics.
Do I need the connection provided by pin 15 (ISO 9141-2 L line) or pin 7
(ISO 9141-2 K line) should be sufficient to read the codes?
