On Oct 2, Vince posted a message on the Dawes boost controller. Vince indicated that he installed his controller between the wastegate actuator nipple and the nipple fitting on the turbo itself.(As in Diagram B of the instructions).
I recently purchased the DD boost controller and the instructions say that you are to remove the hose from the wastegate and plug the hose with a short sheetmetal screw.
The instructions also say that you are not to use the original wastegate line as your boost source.
My question then is, if you are trying to hook up the boost controller as in Diagram B to resist spiking, where do you go for your boost source?
It seems that you can use a fitting on the turbo, but I am unable to locate any such nipple or fitting.
Also, the instructions seem to suggest that alternate sources could include the intake manifold (I think this is really Diagram A hookup) or a pipe between the turbo and the throttle.
Vince or anyone else out there who has done this installation, please help.
Thanks, Fred.
