Rear Shelf Speakers 850 1994

Have SC 810 Cassette Radio and CD Remote. Car has factory installed Rear Shelf Speakers which no longer function - the speaker magnets have dropped off their mounting. When replacing the factory installed trunk mounted CD player, the installer said that I would have to go to VOLVO to replace the two rear shelf speakers because they are 8 ohms. Reading the owners manual I note the technical specifications of this radio for output impedance is 4 ohms. I would like to replace the broken speakers with after-market speakers - has anyone experienced this problem and/or replaced the factory installed rear shelf speakers with after-market ones vice installing factory speakers?
