Subtle whine from ( I think ) transmission. V70-XC70 2000

V70 R AWD 2000: Aisin Warner 5-speed automatic. 275000 KM. ( ~165000 mi )

A subtle whine occurs when car is first started in morning. Whine rises with RPMs, and gradually goes away with full warming of engine/transmission. Performs very nicely when warmed. Running Mobil One 10W-30. Just had latest transmission SW downloaded to TCM. Third to second clunk is gone. Whine's still there. Much more noticeable if I give in to the urge of more throttle! Anyone recognize this???


Thinking about S60 R. ( maybe 2006 ) any news re replacement costs for clutch in 6-speed? What about cost of Brembo parts replacement??
