I did not realize how poor/bad volvo had become. Until I bought a german S80

car. I won`t say which mfg. because that part is not important. I have owned 5 volovs in 15 years and I can say I will never own another. I have defended the brand too long. My s80 was a the worst quality of any car I have ever seen. It was falling apart around me. I have also bought my wife a small suv of the same brand, she can not believe the difference. The ETM issue was the final straw. The way volvo treated it and the way my volvo dealer in Charlotte treated me. IE, it was all my fault. I guess my point is open your mind like I did and try some other brands. BTW, I still have my 940 in storage...I can part with car, too many stories.
