I replaced my MAF Sensor after getting several 1-2-1 codes. I followed all guidelines ( disconnected battery while doing it ) to replace.
Almost immediately after I noticed what sounds like an exhaust leak ( the faint "ticking" when accelerating ). Plus I could not reset the light using the A port that I found the code on. In the past I was able to reset several times.
One of the hard plastic ducts is loose going into the breather. This is the duct that receives the airflow from the front of the car and feeds into the breather. I can't find a clamp that held it together but it won't stay connected.
Could this be my problem? Does the MAF Sensor have to have positive pressure to work accurately/correctly? I am hoping so.
Please help if you have any idea. I hate to take to the dealer unless I really need to. I've spent too much in the last years just in service checkups.
Thanks a million!
