30,000 mile service shocker S40-V40 2000

My dealer (Karp Volvo -- Long Island, NY) just informed me that my routine 30,000 mile service will cost in excess of $600.00! This seems a bit much even for Volvo's excessive prices. What do other dealers charge for this service?
