Radio Antenna Lube????? 850 1993

Can anyone give me some hints on lubing my radio antenna? It extends and retracts just fine with the exception of being a little loud and occasionally not retracting all of the way (top section sometimes stays extended 2-3 inches when antenna full down/radio off).
