I've been in a love/hate relationship with this baby since brand new, so have gone through a few TSB's and recalls relating to electrical and vacuum. I'm about to have to put some real money and work into her, as half shafts, motor mounts, and various other suspension components are demanding replacement. Headlights also need work/replacement (not just the bulbs, the wiring, and the right unit's positioning adjusting screw and bushing have fragged). While I'm at it, has anyone come up with a solution to the 1st gen's general electrical problem that causes it to eat bulbs like candy? Factory specified some change in the harness, which was done under warranty, but it really didn't make any difference in its bulb consumption. Also, can anyone comment how difficult it would be and what performance benefits I might see by simply replacing the original turbo with, say, one from an S70 or C70? Thanks.
