I just bought a 2002 xc with 145k miles on it. The sunroof motor and gears sound great, however, the sliding shade was tucked all the way into the headliner. I can't quite tell if this has specific tracks. In my 2001 it slid very smoothly. When I try to slide this it is VERY difficult and makes some horrific noises. Is there a trick to getting this back on track that doesn't involve removing the headliner?

The only other problem is the armrest - it has cupholders in it, however, the upper pad part has broken off. I don't see any screws _anywhere_ and I'm wondering if I need to replace the entire center console or something.
