Help! Removal of oil filter canister S70

I am trying to do my first oil change on my 2000 S70 Turbo. How in the world do you get to the oil filter canister. Do you have a tool that you have used. I can't find one that fits. I don't think there is room to get a strap tool up in there because how it is jammed into the oil pan. This is a really ridiculous trick to send us to the dealer.
