Turbo...Gone!! 850 1995

I just received the bad news. During my last oil change, I noticed that the back side of the block was wet with oil. No puddles in the garage, but definitely wet. Ends up my Turbo just went, seal gone! It is a '95, very well maintained, with 110k miles.

My question is; what is the general experience with replacing turbo's from other owners? I always knew it would go eventually, but I though it would last longer than this.
