The front joint on the front prop shaft on my 1998 v70xc went bad. Shakes a lot and clatters when I stop. I've heard the best fix is to remove it. Couple questions. Anything I need to do special like disable TRACS? New front joint is nearly $300. Are there any alternative parts that are cheaper? Aren't CV joints usually a third of that?
