inst. panel fault codes 850 1994

Hello again, group:

The last few weeks it's just been one problem after another with this 850 Turbo. The trunk lock jammed (repaired), the SRS light came on (repaired), and before that I had to do the 70K mile major service, plus a coolant and ATF flush.

Today, after the battery was disconnected for about 20 minutes, while I was repairing the SRS, the trip computer died. I guess this happened after I reconnected the battery, but I didn't see it happen, so I can't be sure. In any case, the panel display is completely blank. Diagnostic terminal A7 gives me a fault code of "2-3-1", but my Haynes service manual only lists codes beginning with "1". Anyone know what that code indicates?
