Odd puffing noise V70-XC70 2000

So now that I have done a lot of the important stuff on the car, now it's time for some nagging things. I am trying to locate the origin of a kind of puffing sound coming from the engine. On a cold start it is fine but once it warms up there is this sound coming from what I can tell front drivers side area. It sounds very similar to saying and "F" sound over and over quickly.( fuh,fuh,fuh,fuh....) I beleive it is rpm related but not sure. You can't here it from inside the car.


Any guesses??
