Slamming transmission V70-XC70 2001

My 2001 XC with about 180,000 km on it, 'slams' very hard when downshifting from 2 to 1 approaching a stop sign or light. Only happens after the car is hot, and I have been driving around the city for an hour or so -- in other words lots of stop and go. All other shifts up and down work fine. Changed the transmission oil recently -- was very 'black'. Little improvement in this 'slamming.' Any ideas on this?
