Knock sensors 850 1994

Due to a check engine signal, the dealer says.... blackjack.. well I might as well have bet 2 Benji's , he says it's the knock sensors, they are under the manifold and will cost $500.00. Anyone know if this is a do it yourself job? Tracs and ABS has been showing off and on lately too, dealer says it's probably the control unit. If I let that one go does that mean I'll have no ABS? I must keep this damn car, I love it. Help.
