I'm replacng the ps pump in my 93 650 w/ 200+miles. I'ver "read up" on it here and elsewhere & believe it's within my ability. I've also spent time plannin an approach , PB blastin the nutz/boltz. It all looks oaky excpt for one part (always an exception) The lower hose (inlet/outlet??) is is a pressure fit hose w/ tubing at the end that goes into a threded fitting which is screwed into the ps housing.
If this fitting is "stuck" i'm afraid "hard turm\ning " and other attempts to unscrew the fitting will cause the tubing to kink, buckle and break. Has anyone any experience and/or suggestions on removing the fitting w/o causing further damage?
naturally I'll PB it and such. I'm leery of heating the fitting too much as I remember a thread mentioning an o ring & I guessit here. don't want to melt or soften.
so I'm perplexed at how to loosen the fitting and unscrew
or making a brace to prevent the tubng from bending under torque
any ideas???
thanks
