'98 V70 GLT Vacuum Hose Question/Help V70-XC70 1998

I need help figuring out where a broken vacuum hose goes? If you know where it goes, or have a car (850 or V70) with the same engine configuration (2.4L low pressure turbo) and would be willing to trace the hose on yours I would be very grateful!

This vacuum hose on my '98 V70 GLT that comes off of the air intake tube just after the MAF. It tees off of the intake tube horizontally toward the rear of the car. It has a small black rubber connector that appears to act as an elbow. It then becomes a more rigid small diameter white plastic line for approximately 8-9" where it once again becomes black rubber hose. A couple of inches after this point it had become hard & brittle and broke. I have spent an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out where it goes and for the life of me cannot. Seems like it should be pretty simple to figure out, but I just can't seem to place it. Can anyone help me out?

I'm guessing perhaps it has something to do with the emissions or some other non-performance-critical aspect of the engine? The reason I assume this is because the car still starts, idles, and runs just fine with no apparent affect on fuel economy.
