a/c upgrade S40-V40 2000

I just brought my 2000 S40 in for it's 7500 mile service. I asked about the A/C upgrade, because my S40 suffers from that infamous S40 A/C shut off problem. you know the one, warm air blows after heavy use in the summer time.

My dealer said that there was no A/C upgrade and that this is normal behavior for the A/C.

Does any one out there have any specific information that I can use to help me convince the dealer to work out this problem?
