brake caliper removal 850 1993

I'm trying to replace the front brake pads on my '93 850 and can't figure out how to remove the caliper to get the old pads out. It looks like it requires a hex wrench to unscrew the 2 pins on top & bottom. If that's so. what size hex? 8mm's too big...6mm's too small!!!
