In my ongoing quest to get the 93 850 back up to par, I had to replace the broken power antenna. Since I have quite a few parts from various year Volvos in my storage, I pulled two good units that came from 1988 740s to see if they would work, but the wiring connectors were different. Since the 88 780 shell is sitting next to the 850, I opened the trunk and checked the connection on that antenna which surprisingly is the same as the 850. The only thing that wouldn't fit up was the bottom brace to fender bolt because the antenna from the 780 is smaller, but it operates just fine in the 850.

Now it is on to the headliner and the timing belt, then I will probably drive it for a while since it seems to be a very nice piece of machinery.
