1-minute Idling For Turbo--Fact or Fiction S70 99

As a new owner I'm wondering if it really is important to idle the engine for a minute prior to shutdown to help with the cooldown of the turbocharger. If so, does it make any difference if it's the low boost turbo as installed on my s70 GLT?

I have been adamant about running the engine for a minute at idle prior to shutdown, (especially to my wife, who drives the car most of the time)but I ran into another Volvo owner who said it's not important with the newer turbos. They didn't run Premium fuel, either.

Would appreciate any comments.
