hissing sound V70-XC70 2001

When the motor is running, I hear a very low and light hissing noise while sitting in the car. When I put my foot on the brake pedal it goes away. Car runs fine, no warning lights, plenty of brake fluid. I can't hear the noise when I stick my head under the hood. After I kill the engine I can still hear the hiss for about 30-40 seconds, then it dies away altogether.

Any ideas?
