Brake Booster Vacuum line 850

Today I yanked the brake booster vacuum line off the throttle body and was
able to draw some vacuum with a little vacuum bleeder pump.
The end where the vac hose went on the throttlebody fitting was nasty
and looked ratty perhaps contributing to an intermittant vacuum leak
throwing codes and noticable intermittant high idle and sometimes poor
braking.
The vacuum line had a small plastic fitting that snapped into a clamp under
the air box and the hose turned freely at each end of that junction fitting.

Anyway I tried the Volvo dealer and they sell that hose about $10/meter
and I'd need to order 2 meters for a 40" or so line. He said try the local
auto shops which I did. The guys at Pep Boys said use fuel line, and thats not
great if the stuff collapses. The NAPA guy didnt have the line but he knew Not to use fuel line. Then I went to the place that does hydraulic hoses and got
4' hydraulic hose rated for high heat and 1000PSI for ten bucks.
Thats in there and too soon to tell if the vacuum adventure is over.
Gotta get a new ignition switch since the ABS and TRAX idiot lights are flakey along with the headlights. Dunno if the funky ignition switch is screwing up the ECU in other ways making life less than ideal.
