Hello all,
I was looking at a 1994 850T wagon at a local dealership. Everything looked ok except there was a slight knock at idle when cold (went away when warm) and I noticed that the oil dipstick had a cream coloured goo near the top (I understand this is water in the oil usually from condensate because of taking short trips). Car has been dealer serviced and was originally sold new at the same place. Dealer would not provide the 60k service in the deal, only the timing belt part. So:
1. Should I be worried about the knock and goo?
2. Are there any 'suprises' at the 60k service? ie they get it open and find that the such and such is bad and needs replacing?
I would consider the place a reputable dealership (if there is such a thing :), its not a here today, gone tomorrow type of place.
Thanks in advance for all replies!
Henrik
