I have a 1994 850 with 274,356 miles on the odometer which stopped about about three weeks ago. I can get that fixed for about $160.
My real problem is that about two years ago I started having problems starting when the temps here in Florida dipped below 50 degrees. This has caused me to be late to work on several occasions. My mechanic suggested it was the water in the gasoline and gave me something to fix it. It didn't work.
I usually have to keeping trying the keys until I hear a buzzing sound. Once I hear that, the car starts up with no problem. I saw a posting at Matthews that suggested I needed to get in the fuse box. has anyone else had this problem and what did yoo find. I have been debating whether to fix this car up--it needs paints, new brakes and power steering -or buy a 1998 S70. I'm told that was the best model year. Eitherway, I have only about $4K to work with.
Coments and suggestions welcomed.
