Bumper Paint, Chips Too Easily? S70 2000

Has anybody noticed the paint on the front bumper chips a little too easily? On my silver S70 with only 10,000 miles on it, I have about a dozen black spots on my front bumper because the paint chipped off. I'm sure these are chip marks caused by gravel and other debris because I can see the tiny gouges on these spots. On a door ding, the paint gets gouged WITH the door and doesn't chip off. Shouldn't the paint on the bumper do the same? Is this happening to anybody else's bumper or is it just mine?
