Moved up from a '90 740 to a '98 s70 t5. Am I crazy?? S70

My first post on the fwd board. I just bought a 1998 s70 t5 today. Its my first fwd Volvo. Of course, I still have my 740 (named Macy by my daughter). My wife would divorce me before she would let me sell Macy...not to mention what my daughter might do. Lol. Macy still has the number one position in the garage.

Sven (as the s70 has been tagged) has 125000 miles. I bought him from the 2nd owner who has owned him for the last 5 years. He bought Sven from the original owner when Sven had 55000 miles. I have all the books and records from day one (well maintained and shows). It does have two problems...it is a 12 yr. old after all. One problem is the shift lock doesn't work unless you press the over ride button. I've found through the board that this is a common problem and is most likely the microswitch. The other problem is the power door locks. They work with the door button but do not work with the remote. I put a new battery in both of the remotes and you can hear clicking when you press the button but no door lock or unlock action.

Anyway, I'm just wondering what are more of the common problems with these s70's? Is there anything particular to the t5 that I should be on the look out for? Thanks for any help you can give.
