I have a 2004, V70, non-turbo 2.3L engine with 120K.
from what I have read on-line, it sounds like it is a major job to clean the
box(?). What are the conditions and tests (if any) one could do to determine if the condition is occuring and how bad it might be. I do not hear any whistle sounds, no oil leaks and the open dipstick tube seems slightly negative. Car was shifted to full Syntec oil @100K.
