Radio automatic adaption of volume for news broadcast S60 2001

Due to somekind of reason the auto-volume function does not work anymore if a newsbroadcast is starting, i.e. the volume is not automatically adapted anymore.

During a news broadcast I adjusted the volume to a higher level, so normally it should return automatically to this hihger level when a news broadcast is starting, but it does not. The "news" light is on.

Any ideas?
