Transmission slipping 850 93

Help. My transmission started slipping in first and second gear. When starting from a dead stop it feels as if the wheels are spinning when actually it's the transmission. Going into second gear it slips and shudders more. The transmission has been trouble free to the best of my knowledge, I bought the car with 60K, it now has 73K. I've got a bad feeling this could be an exspensive fix. Anyone has experience with this type of problem?
