I was just informed that my car is totaled. My previous subject matter was titled "Volvo Safety--Now I Know". I was offered $18,890 for my '95 855T with 56,xxx miles. I told them that I thought the car was worth more so the Insurance company (State Farm) is going to do a "market search" to try to identify what a similar auto is selling for on the car lots.
Fortunately, I had my winter wheels/tires on the car so I still have the original alloys with the brand new Michelin SXGT that I received from the class action law suit. I am removing the Volvo CD changer, the Euro roof rails, the new gray embroidered 850 mats that I just bought and also the driver's side convex mirror kit. I'm also removing the rear window shades, that were offered in the accessories catalog, if I can get them off without breaking them. I also have the original owner's manual folder with the owner's manual, warranty book, maintence book and the Volvo "quick tips" booklet. I have 14 Mann oil filters and both of my keyless control pads and the Haynes service manual.
I'm looking at a '98 Mercedes E320 Sedan that I can pick up for 30K that has 46K miles. I hat to leave the Volvo family but I always liked the E class Benz!
If anyone is interested in anything, please e-mail with any questions. Let me know if anyone needs anything off of the car that I can easily snatch before they take the car away.
