I have been reading all the posts that keep cropping up with regard to the need to let the turbo cool down after a prolonged higher speed run before switching off, to avoid being hung up with no compression. I think I summarize reasonably correctly. So, let's get this straight: I have been driving down the interstate at 75 mph for a couple of hours and pull into a gas station for a fill. From the posts I've summarized, am I really supposed to sit in the car at the pump with the engine idling for a while before I can switch off the ignition and fill with gas? Volvos can't be such dogs as needing that, surely? Where is the fallacy?
