Oil loss on my '96 855 N/A Engine 850

Greetings,

Klaus...I replaced the rubber oil cap gasket on my 855 which seemed to take care of my oil loss issues. Now I'm noticing some spray out of the hose next to the oil cap. If I remember right I replaced this hose when I replaced the oil seperator system a year or so ago.

Could the flame trap be plugged up after using engine rx? Do I really need that flame trap?
