Rough shifting V70-XC70 1998

Shifting seems to be clunky on the V70 AWD XC. Is this normal? I notice it when lifting off the gas and the car down shifts. It also happens when cruise control is controlling the speed. I also notice it when I shift from Park to Reverse.
