MHO About PTFE Engine Treatments S70 2000

For the life of me I can't figure out why this engine treatment thing keeps coming up. It seems that if Slick 50 or any other PTFE(teflon) treatment worked as they claim it could be easily proven. The engine treatment companies could hire a well respected lab to prove the product works or not. Take 2 identical engines , completely tear down, mic and gage every internal part , take pics of cam lobes , cylinder walls , wrist pins , valve guides ect. with an electron microscope. Put the engines back together , treat one with PTFE, set up an identical load control for both engines and run them hard for 500 hours. Tear down engines and check wear on all lubricated parts and take pics with electron microscope to see if PTFE is impregnated in the metal. I know this test would be somewhat expensive if done properly , but if it did prove that the product worked as advertised look what it would do to sales.

Why won'nt they do this?.......Its very likely they already have ! But the results have proven the product just doesn't work. Ever notice how they (Slick 50 , Microlon, MotorUP)always show a drawing of PTFE particles filling in the "pits and valleys" of an engine ? Why won't they show us a real microscopic pic of the "pits and valleys" filled in with PTFE particles ? IMHO......they can't !
