Service and Tranny Arrow lights 850 95

Hi All.....Happy New Year to Everyone.

Have 2 things happen over the weekend:

1. Tranny Arrow light came on while driving....had no power in 1st, then what seemend like no overdrive while on the freeway....70mph @3k RPM.

When I restarted car later, light was off...1st gear and OD were fine...problem has not repeated and no codes were found in Mode 1 on the Diagnostic Connector.

2. Car has 79,850 miles on it. this AM, started car and service light came on. Is this telling me that the 80k service is coming due, or there is some other issue? could it be related to the tranny problem?
