Winter Tire Recommendation 850 95

I have had Gislaved Winter tires on my 850 turbo wagon for the past five winters and they've been fine, but it is now time for replacement. I actually had some Hakkapeliitta's on two past BMW's that lasted, believe it or not, 12 years and I want to go back to them. They were Hakk 9's back then. Now they've gone past the 10 series and onto the 1 series.

I live in Ottawa, Canada and the 1's seem to be the correct replacement for this Winter environment, but a tire dealer here is saying that as long as I'm not trying to scale the Alps the new Hakk NRW would be a better choice.

Does anyone have any comments, experience or recommendations that would help? Thank you in advance.
