What to do about aging "haze 850 1996

Hello All,

I have a 1996 850 GLT wagon with 227,000 miles on it. It "sleeps outside" because unfortunately there is no room in the garage (two other Volvo wagons).

Recently, I have notice a dull white colored "haze" has developed on the red plastic rear brake light lenses. I know it is from the natural aging process of the plastic, combined with the fact my Volvo is no longer garaged.

I know there are products sold to remove the "haze" that develops on the clear plastic lenses for the headlights, but does any one know of a product that will remove the "haze" from the rear brake lights. Otherwise, it appears my only option is to replace both lenses with new units. Of course, in due time, the same problem will return.

I welcome all suggestions.

Hugh
