New to Volvo S40-V40 2001

My wife and I are purchasing an S40 in about two months. I'm interested in any comments regarding the S40 (ie problems to date, quirks), financing incentives through Volvo and key questions to ask the dealership. This is my first Volvo and I'm looking forward to the purchase. However, I don't want to appear anxious, or even worse, ignorant when negotiating with the dealership. Any comments are welcome.
