How do you tell when the strut and shock mounts are worn out? I now how 127K on my 850 and have replaced both struts and shocks at 82K. At that time I did not replace the mounts because I was unaware there were a replacable item. When I bounce on the front fender of the car, there is a slight banging noise coming from the strut. If I put my hand on the top of the strut, under the hood, I can feel something banging. The struts are not leaking.
