Oil change for 2.4T S60

I am a first time Volvo owner (S-60 2.4 T) and a first time turbo driver. I believe Volvo recommends 7,500 mile intervals for oil changes.

Does anyone have recommendations for oil type, viscosity, and change interval. I’d like to use synthetic, but don’t know what viscosity to use and how early to switch and don’t know if I can stretch the interval out to 10,000 miles because of the synthetic.
