I'm gunna replace this mount because the dealer said it was bad 18 months ago ($318 plus tax!!) . I'm taking action because the top center mount looks horrible like the engine is sliding to the right. Volvospeed procedure make's it sound easy to replace. My Haynes manual page 2a-14 shows a torque and degree value, I'm pretty sure this means I torque it to the Nm and then turn it the extra 60 or 90 degrees as per the Haynes picture. I think I can do this by eye - can't be too critical, I've seen degree wheels for this but don't have one.
BTW I do have a top engine support that spans the fenders with a hook that can hand down and hold the engine (from a old audi clutch change), but Volvospeed says jack up the engine from beneath. The Volvo powersteering bracket area seems to have a hole - is this for holding up the engine?
Merci !
