Extended Warranty

I am in Toronto, Canada. I have a 1998 S70 T5 with automatic transmission. I have about 71,000 km right now. I am thinking whether it will be a good investment to get the extended warranty. I have heard stories about the auto transmission , the A/C evaporator, etc. Anyone know how much it is? What types are there, etc... I need info, and I need opinions.
