More Wierdness-Fumes and CD 850 1994

Now that I have my nice new cylinder head, my 850 Turbo is still needing attention. Kept getting a 3-1-5 code for "evap emissions fault" for the last several months. While repairing the burned valve, the shop replaced a vacuum hose and no problem. Until now. Filled up with gas , the garage smelled like gas all night. The cap was tightened three clicks. Check engine light back on, cleared the code and got 3-1-5. After driving home with the tight (I made sure) gas cap I loosened it and got no "whoosh" so its not pressurizing again.

The radio coded out as the battery was disconnected during the valve job. Independent guy had no codes for the radio, and the original owner's security code didn't number work. Obviously the head was replaced before I got it. Off to the dealer, new code. Radio back on. But now the CD which used to just "skip" now crackles loudly and cuts out for 2-5 seconds at a time. No logic, not necessarily on bumps. Sometimes the CD button won't switch it from radio to CD. sometimes it gives EEEE on the dial. It is an SC-810 model.

Any ideas out there??
