"If it ain't broke don't fix it." But... Given the rate of occurence of evap failures, I was wondering: has anyone tried or considered using the "AC sealant" (that some of you have used AFTER losing refridgerant) as a preventative measure before the actual failure? I am still with orig evap @ 115k w/o pollen filter, and I can't shake that "sitting on a time bomb" feeling. If the system was evacuated and then refilled with some sealant, maybe it would prevent or at least delay the catastrophic leak-out?
Just a thought...
